Use your photos, your texts, your documentation and your life, or your children’s, or your family, or your business, and let us make a story, your story, into YOUR STORY FILM from these.

What is the aim?
|
|
|
It is not our intention to make a documentary (although this is possible as well) from the material you provide us with.
|
|
|
The aim is to create a STORY, a FILM STORY, from the material that you provide us with.
|
|
|
We study the material you send us. From this material we construct a STORY. You are welcome to provide us with guidelines. However, please note that our talent, and our primary service, is that of CREATING STORIES. That is our strength, that is our product. We create stories from the material you send us. If we are restricted by too many, or by inflexible guidelines this then in turn can lead to a restricted and inflexible FILM or STORY or end result. It can have adverse effect on the quality of the end product, the FILM. Please note that in order to make the most interesting and exciting YOUR STORY FILM possible we might not use all the material you provide us with. We will select and leave out some things if we think that this is better for the films power. However , you can choose to have all the material you provide us with used, but once again be aware that this might be detrimental to the films power.

We strive to make a film as interesting and exciting as possible. However, it should be clear that the end film is also determined by the amount, the type, and the quality of the material you send us. Yet it does not matter what the quality of the material is that you send us we will attempt to make from this material the most interesting and exciting film that is possible, based purely on the material you send us and in combination with our talents.

Creativity is subjective. We cannot make the exact film you might vision, or think you will be getting, or someone else might vision. In creativity there always comments such as: “I could have done that!” or “I could have done better than that!” Maybe the people who say such things are right, and maybe they are wrong. It is our experience that they usually find they are wrong when it comes down to doing whatever it is they have spoken about. However, it should be noted that there are many people who will do things differently, would have created a different result, probably you included. We cannot create a film that someone else would make, or that you would make. We can only promise to attempt to make the most interesting and exciting film possible, and of the highest quality possible, using our personal creativity and our personal talents, based on the type, amount and quality of the material you provide us with.

Of course you can choose to provide us with a film storyboard then we will construct the film to this storyboard. However, it should be noted that the end (film) result is not under our control, not in our hands. We will faithfully follow the storyboard (unless instructed otherwise) and along the way try to make the film as interesting and exciting as possible, for example by using effects or music, etc.

Additionally if you have other requirements or wishes regarding a type or genre of film or end Film result, then you are more than welcome to get in touch with us, we are open to any type of film you require.

What do we require to make YOUR STORY FILM?
|
|
|
Remember, we are not “Filming” YOUR STORY FILM. We are not using a camera to take a film of something (like your wedding or some other such occasion or moment or person)!
|
|
|
All we are doing is looking at the material you send us and creating a FILM STORY from this material. Then we scan each piece of this material into the computer (and using the story outline we have created from this material) we build up a film, adding sounds, music, and effects, etc.!
|
|
|
It is as simple as that! Although in reality to actually do it is not that simple at all and a great deal of work.
|
|
|
The more material you provide us with the easier it is for us to create an interesting and exciting story. The less material the more we are limited and the more the film will be limited. Additionally the length of a film is limited by the amount of material. Remember that Directors of films shoot many hours of film even just to get a very short film out of the material. The better the quality of the material the better the chances of film quality. But once again we have this subjective problem, so do not rely on this too much! We have purposely used just very ordinary and often not so good quality photographs in our flashing examples on the left of this website just to show that you do not need high quality professional photographs to create a film. After all this is YOUR STORY FILM, not some movie or television film (and often television films are of lesser quality than movie films so it shows that the quality fits the purpose but can be just as equally entertaining).

It is YOUR STORY FILM; you decide what you want to show in the film. It is for you personally. The quality of the material is less important. Additionally old or less quality can provide other effects and story angles.
|
|
|
The material you provide us with can be anything that can be scanned into a computer. Photographs, documents, certificates, diplomas, awards, texts, your poems, your writings, notes, music, video, home movies, sound recordings, clippings, journals, copies of drawings or paintings, your doodles or comic sketches, and whatever else you might want in your film and can be scanned into the computer.

How to provide the material?
|
|
|
We guarantee that all the material remains your personal property and will be returned (unless otherwise stated). Additionally the material will be treated with the upmost respect and privacy. NONE of your material will be given away and none of it will be used in any other project or used for any other purpose other than for your personal film. You have our assurance and our guarantee on that. Your material will be kept securely until returned. If you send us digital versions of your material then we guarantee that ALL the material will be deleted once the film has been finished, received and accepted by you.

You can send the material to us by post (preferably registered). You can send us material by the Internet as digital versions (we request that you send us high quality scanned material – if you are not that good at this then please send us the material by post, or let someone who knows what they are doing do it for you, for example: a friend or at your local copy shop).
|
|
|
For a Business film we need the highest quality possible!
|
|
|
What does a YOUR STORY FILM cost?
|
|
|
Ah! Now we get to the really hard bit! The truth is since we do not have your material, nor do we know what type and what length of film you want, then it is impossible for us to give you an answer to this question! All we can tell you for the moment is that we believe that our YOUR STORY FILM charges are extremely fair indeed, you might even say very low. Companies are charged more than private persons. The rest we will have to evaluate when we know more. We only ask you to remember that the actual work and creativity required is probably three times more, at least, than you probably think or estimate, we say this from experience. However, even so our prices remain surprisingly fair, or low.

The finished YOUR STORY FILM will be burnt on a DVD and sent to you. Your material will be returned to you, or deleted from our computer.
|
|
